So it's the fourth quarter of the Super Bowl... and guess who I got to watch part of it with.

The rustling of feathers and the pitter-pat of tiny feet.

It's Sunday and I had no assignments. It snowed again last night so I went out to find another winter weather feature, but that's not exactly what I ended up shooting. I have to tell you that when you stumble upon little moments like this, it makes working on Super Bowl Sunday all worth-while!

Waiting for an assignment

I have 2 assignments tonight, both are girls basketball.
Until then... we have birds.

"There's cold in my eye."

The title is a quote from my dear friend Jen... referring to how your eyes water when they are exposed to cold temperatures.

I feel like I did a good job today, despite the scolding little note that was left in my box this morning... but that part was my fault anyway. At least I'm not afraid to make mistakes, and I'm not really afraid to risk making them either. But enough about that.



Here is a picture of a Rebeccicle. I was walking around the plaza with all of my gear and the Army/Navy Surplus pea coat that used to belong to my father. Snow was falling everywhere and I was sent out to find a winter weather feature.

Winter Weather

There wasn't a lot going on today so my editor told me to go find something. A few hours later I came back with a winter weather feature.

Our Lady of Guadalupe Church

Sunday 8:00 am- I went to Our Lady of Guadalupe Church because a parishioner was having the mass dedicated to her son who had just returned from Iraq a few days before. I saw a multimedia opportunity (which I am working on and should have something by friday). This assignment turned out to be quite the challenge because it turns out that it was a Spanish mass. I'm kinda glad that I minored in Spanish for 4 semesters. However, I was way out of my comfort zone, and was trying to be as respectful as possible.The fact that I am Catholic as well as everyone else there offered me some comfort...but I have to say that this was the most uncomfortable experience I have ever had on an assignment.
